Client-Centered Advocacy & Holistic Representation
At Taconic Law, we guide you through the legal process step-by-step to ensure you understand your legal rights and obligations. Working closely with clients, Attorney Smith builds a strong attorney-client partnership to marshal evidence and bring the strongest defenses or claims to bear. A client’s legal matter may present concurrently with other challenges, such as issues related to mental health, substance use disorder, immigration status, or a host of other challenges. Attorney Smith works hard to also address these deeply human aspects of a client’s interactions with the law.
In additional to criminal defense services, Attorney Smith has also handled non-criminal matters using the same persuasive advocacy skills, attention to detail, and dedication. Some of the non-criminal matters Attorney Smith has favorably handled include: motor vehicle offenses, motor vehicle licensing and registration issues, obtaining certificates of relief from disabilities (restoring post conviction rights to own firearms), obtaining licenses to carry firearms, real estate matters and other contracts, and modification of child support and custody orders.
